california, the first big winter storm of the season, bringing snow northward, interstate 80 out of sacramento not a fun drive this morning. on and off rain. portland, seattle, medford, all the way down into san francisco. the rest of the country, warm as could be this weekend, continuing today with 80 around kansas city, chance of showers, and the east coast fantastic. here's where things get interesting towards the end of the week as we go into next week towards halloween. tropical storm sandy could be forming in the caribbean near jamai jamaica, bringing a lost rain during the week. it's after that, we have a lot of questions. a big cold front, a big huge pool of cold air coming down the middle of the country on friday. but the east coast is going to stay kind of warm. there is a chance that if this storm system in the middle of the country stalls out enough that that -- what is sandy in the carribean could somehow get close to new england or the mid atlantic. about a week from today -- yes, when you think we're almost done, we're like the hurricane season, but we have to watch this closely
